About Dr. Abraham
Anesthesiologist and pain management physician, Jacob E. Abraham, MD, is the founder of Advanced Interventional Pain Management, with locations in Hot Springs, Little Rock, Texarkana, El Dorado, Arkadelphia, and Mena, Arkansas.
Dr. Abraham grew up in Georgia, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in microbiology at the University of Georgia in Athens. He then obtained his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. Afterward, he completed his training in anesthesiology and pain management at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Abraham moved to Arkansas in
the mid-1990s and has been practicing pain management in the Hot Springs area since 1996.
His area of specialty focuses on minimally invasive, nonsurgical procedures performed under X-ray guidance to reduce patients’ chronic spine-related pain. Some of the common procedures he performs include epidural steroids, sacroiliac joint injections, facet joint injections, radiofrequency facet nerve ablations, and genicular nerve ablations for chronic knee pain and spinal cord stimulators.
Dr. Abraham is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Pain Medicine. He is a member of the Arkansas Medical Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Academy of Pain Medicine, and Spine Intervention Society.
